I'm going for a completely neutral palate so that I can spice things up with our bedding and throw pillows and blankets. Right now the bed is rocking a gorgeous purple and orange motif, but soon we'll shift to teal, then maybe yellow? Green? Chartreuse? Mango? Fuschia? Indigo? Butternut? Cherry? The possibilities are endless, you see.
Here is one of my fave items... a large photo of Mount Baker, hanging next to my side of the bed. It is the last thing I see when I go to sleep, and the first thing I see when I wake up. This is where I grew up, and I miss it more than words can say. THANK YOU to my parents for giving me this awesome gift for Christmas! I cherish it every day.
And here is a fun little potted plant sign that I also got from my mom. She really knows me and my loves. This happens to be stuck in one of my African violets at the moment, which is holding on for dear life. *Please stay alive, little African violet! You have so much to live for!*
So there is a glance at our new wall color. When I finish the room to my liking, I'll post more pictures. First, though, I need curtains, wreaths (yes, wreaths), and an overhead light fixture. Maybe throw in some vinyl, too. We'll see about that. For now, as always, we live in a half-finished project.
