I don't even know where to begin. I guess I'll just make a list of things that happened over the past two weeks, and then you'll have an inkling of how I am feeling right about now.
* Infant puked 4 times.
* Toddler puked 2 times.
* Multiple members of our household had diarrhea.
* Because infant was sick, she did not go into the nursery at church, and therefore sat in "big church" with us. She was fine until the sermon began (of course) and then was fussing. I took her out, and heard absolutely zero words of the sermon.
* Toddler got Grandma sick.
* Toddler got babysitter sick.
* A coach of another sport of some of our volleyball girls decided to be completely irrational about scheduling practices on weekends, and is not budging on the matter. (Still working through this one...)
* Husband has been the most stressed I've ever seen him about the above, plus a lot going on at his work.
* I got little sleep, but lots of prayer and snuggle time in.
* Infant lost half a pound, had a blood test, urine test, and x-ray done to make sure she was okay. All normal!
* Toddler still has no appetite, and looks (believe it or not) even more skinny. We have battles at meal times regularly.
* I had to miss bible study last week because of sicknesses, and finally got to go today. When asked how I was, I broke down. Oh, how I was trying to be strong. Sometimes just a hug makes me lose it.
* I've done multiple loads of laundry every day for the past week because of all the nasty bodily fluids expelling themselves. (Loads still waiting to be washed now, too.)
The list goes on... I'm whipped. But I survived the illness, and that is only because I prayed for a miracle and God blessed me with health. I also sanitized every 10 minutes, wiped all the common surfaces with Clorox, and tried to stay a healthy distance away from the kiddos when I could.
Can I take a nap, now?
On a happier note, my tulips are peeking out of the ground! Spring is coming!
